The Five Facts of Life

“What must I do to be saved?” is truly the most significant question anyone can ask. How we personally answer this will impact not only how we live this life, but also where we spend eternity.  Thankfully, in the Bible God gives us clear instructions that answer this eternally important question.  It can be helpful to examine the Biblical answer to this question in five distinct parts or steps – referred to as “The five-fingered plan for becoming a Christian.”

Here are the five things you need to know on how to have a home in heaven.

I. Realize that you are a SINNER

As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:10,23.

II. Realize that a price must be PAID for your SIN

Wherefore, as by one sin entered into the world, and death by sin – and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.
Romans 5:12.

For the wages of sin is death. Romans 3:23

Behold all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the sould of the son is mine; the soul that sinneth it shall die. Ezekiel 18:4

III. Realize that JESUS CHRIST paid the PRICE

But God commandeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buries and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

IV. REPENT of your SIN

I tell you nay; but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luke 13:3

For Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of; but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
2 Corinthians 7:10

V. BELIEVE and RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST as your personal SAVIOR

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9.

But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.
John 1:12

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:13

Are your willing to receive Jesus Christ to be your savior? Then, ask Him to save your soul in prayer like this:

Lord, Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, I deserve to go to hell. But now, I repent of my sin and do believe that you die on the cross and shed your blood to pay all my sins. I receive you Jesus Christ as my savior. Thank you for saving me. Help me now to live for you and be home in heaven when I die. Amen.
